Purple color with aromas of blackberry, oak, and a touch of sweetness. This is a medium- bodied fruity wine with modest tannins and a soft finish. This is a decent, everyday wine (with an alcohol level of 14%) is well-balanced and a good value.
The color of this is remarkable, extremely dark, which is how I remember malbecs I've had in the past and is the trademark of this grape for me. The other review here from Athon describes Trapiche quite well, nothing more I could add.
Smooth, easy to drink, moderate nose. Berries, cherries, some plums. Not sophisticated, but pleasing - better than, or as good as, other malbecs that cost 3-4 USD more, which is an additional recommendation.
Nearly pitch-black with red velvet robe. Extreme pigment extraction. Pencil, oak, pale red fruit (plum) on the nose. Hint of Lanolin and VOC of some sort, but not unpleasant. Smooth mouthfeel, hardly any tannin, more oak...too dominating...more VOC, slightly annoying this time. Medium finish. For the price point it is reasonable.

Die sehr intensiven, fruchtigen Aromen von reifen Zwetschgen und die roten Beeren passen zu den feinen Ausbauaromen (Süssholz, Vanille). Im Gaumen überzeugt dieser Malbec von TRAPICHE durch Eleganz und Kraft sowie durch seine runde, zugängliche Textur. Der Abgang widerspiegelt die positiven Eindrücke und ist anhaltend.
Die intensive, typische Aromatik von reifen Pflaumen und Kirschen sowie die feinen Gewürznoten in der Nase sind vielversprechend. Die Frucht und die samtigen Gerbstoffe halten sich im Gaumen die Balance und überzeugen. Der Abgang widerspiegelt die positiven Eindrücke und führt sie in einer schönen Harmonie zusammen.
