Tour St Christophe 93-94js 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

93-94 Points, James Suckling: "This is a stunning barrel sample with oyster shells, blackberries, chalk, blueberries. Full body, great density of fruit and power. Best yet?" 3/15 90-92 Points, Neal Martin, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Château Tour Saint Christophe 2014 has a very pure bouquet. There is some new oak to be subsumed, but there is plenty of fruit to support it. The palate is ripe and sensual on the entry with supple tannin, plush black cherry and blackberry fruit with a generous, modern-style opening with commendable length. This could turn out to be one of Saint Emilion's classier offerings in 2014." 4/15 93 Points, Zachys Buying Team: “We had this wine side-by-side with the 2015 release for a great comparison. While the 2015 is a riper more modern vintage, 2014 is more classic, offering a little less texture and richness, but awesome elegance just the same. There are greater aromatics here, and on the palate a similar red and black fruit profile that is presented in a slightly more toned down style with additional notes of licorice and mocha. We managed to obtain a few extra cases from the Chateau for those that do not want to wait to experience the magic of Saint-Christophe.” (4/2016)
