Reviews for 2005 Vintage
medium bodied, fruity wine and reasonably priced bottle from the "Spain's winery of the year". Simple and smooth on the palette.
Fruity characteristics, easy to drink socially. Not too complicated flavour. Good enough for the price you pay
Slightly alcoholic nose. Tart and tight in the mouth - its been open for 45 minutes, so not sure it will blow off. Decent fruit behind this. Bitter tannic finish. Decidedly average.
Varietals: Garnacha and Cariñena. Deep ruby color with a hint of ochre. Rich complex Mediterranean aromas with exuberant notes of spices and blackberries. Velvety tannins are noted on the palate with elegant flavors of licorice and small dark forest fruits (blueberries and blackcurrants). Superb with roasts, casseroles, game and traditional Spanish meat dishes.
Abundantly fruity aroma suggestive of wild raspberries, with an earthy hint of spiciness. Generous and smooth on the palate.
