Torres Coronas 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Coronas is unmistakable for its intense colour and lush aromas of cherry and black plums on a background of green coffee. It is aged in oak barrels to achieve a soft, rounded sensation on the palate with a big finish

Earthy soil/black cherry/cranberry in color and with good clarity. Aromas of heavy black cherry, hints of tobacco and leather, plums, some spice and perhaps a little alcohol. The flavors follow suit with added black pepper spice warmth, slight booze, lots of Cabernet juicyness, and spots of Spanish flare! The mouthfeel is smooth, medium bodied and highly drinkable....a very nice $20 bottle!

Surprisingly light in the mouth. Plum and spice nose and palate. Plenty of tannin in balance with fruit and high acid.

Rich fruit aroma, with a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. Torres' distinctive winemaking have earned them a sterling reputation and following.
