Torres Coronas 2009
Earthy soil/black cherry/cranberry in color and with good clarity. Aromas of heavy black cherry, hints of tobacco and leather, plums, some spice and perhaps a little alcohol. The flavors follow suit with added black pepper spice warmth, slight booze, lots of Cabernet juicyness, and spots of Spanish flare! The mouthfeel is smooth, medium bodied and highly drinkable....a very nice $20 bottle!
Surprisingly light in the mouth. Plum and spice nose and palate. Plenty of tannin in balance with fruit and high acid.
