Deep rich dessert wine. Somewhere between a sherry and an amarone. Suggested to us by David at Gramercy Tavern, April 2013.

Almost black, yet light and lively, this has molasses, bitter chocolate, raisin, and mineral aromas and flavors. Well-balanced and integrated, it is fresh and long on the finish. Made from the Pedro Ximénez grape and drinking well today.
