User Reviews for Tormaresca Red Blend Puglia IGT Neprica
Add your reviewA unique blend of 3 varietals. A great wine for the value and easy to find. Will blend well with food. Amazing quality for under $10.00. I hope they keep producing this blend over the years. I will hang on to some for a vertical in the future!
A very interesting wine. I was intrigued by the blend of three different grapes, though it seemed to me that it taste most like a Cabernet Sauvignon. I sipped a glass of this prior to sitting down to dinner. Not much of a sipping wine as it was a little heavy and rather dry, with definite hints of chocolate and coffee. That said, I then paired it with a DelMonico steak, some vegetables and salad. It worked quite well and complimented the steak. This is a good value for the money and an affordable alternative to a good Cab. Of course, one could also justify paying a few dollars more for a decent Cab instead of this.
Like it less the more I drank it, but it's still good. Dry, spicy, but very nicely balanced.

You cannot get better value than this. Ripe berry notes, cassis, molasses and cola serve as a preface for the thick texture and smooth density that this wine delivers to the palate. The wine is thick and succulent with smooth tannins and great length: excellent quality for this very low price.
This wine has aromas of berries and light, spicy licorice. It is a harmonious blend with flavors of dark fruit, chocolate, and hints of licorice with a balanced acidity.

Winemaker's Notes:
Wine Tasting Notes A red blend of two local grape varieties, negroamaro ( 40%) and primitivo (30%), and one international grape, cabernet sauvignon (35%), it offers dark fruit flavors enhanced by echoes reminiscent of black licorice and savory spice. Its tannins provide structure without interfering with pleasure, so the wine feels voluptuous.
