Winemaker's Notes:

The Syrah was destemmed and whole berry fermented with indigenous yeast for 21 days in 1.5 ton fermenters after 3 days of cold soak. The wine was racked after malo-Lactic fermentation in April and again in August before being aged another 12 months in barrels.

Tasting Notes:

The aroma of this wine is of leather, dried meat, earth and spices. The flavors, with the bright acidity, mirror the aroma with sweet, rich, dark berries, toasty oak and spiciness. The texture is rich, sweet, round and spicy. The finish is very long with layers of dark berries, oak toast, spices and heat.
