The aromatics here are quite fruity but at the same time reserved and cool with a suggestion of kiwi among the green fruited nose and a floral aspect that gives this a touch of sweet tea on the nose. On entry this is sweetly fruited but shows fine acid cut. the fruit leans toward the nectarine end of the spectrum with a nice bit of quince at its core. the mid-palate is a bit heavy and creamy with a pleasant contrasting bitter tone on the finish that offsets the rich, almost apricot and cherry finish. 87pts

Tasting Notes:

Torii Mor’s 2008 Pinot blanc offers a sweet aroma of crème brulee with floral notes of vanilla, tropical fruits, and banana followed by notes of spicy cloves. The sweet flavors of baked apples and a touch of citrus fruit are followed by a crisp mineral acidity and a long finish filled with spice. The wine texture is rich, round and shows some weight without being flabby. The finish is rich and very long with lasting crème brulee notes and spice.
