Enjoyable wine GR-SY-MV blend. Loads of interesting smokey fruit. Surprised to read this is non-oaked as it would have fooled me. Great price and would drink into 2011 and maybe a little further.

This amazing blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre (60/20/20) sees no time in oak, earning it the name Juvenile in reference to its youthful, unadulterated exhibition of pure Barossa fruit. This isn't light, simple, fruity wine, however. Vivid, cherry, blueberry, and currant flavors build in intensity amidst a creamy and deceptively full-bodied texture that packs a lot more punch than first suggested.

Weingut: Torbreck VintnersRegion: Barossa ValleyRebsorte: 60% Grenache, 20% Shiraz, 20% MourvedreInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 14,9 Vol.%Restsüße: 5,84 g/lSäuregehalt: trockenempfohlene Serviertemperatur: 12-16 °CLagerfähigkeit: 3-5 Jahre ab Jahrgang Rotwein > Australien > Barossa Valley

Medium red. Blackberry and cassis on the nose, with subtle cocoa and roasted coffee qualities. Sweet, jammy dark berry flavors are hit with a late jolt of vanilla. Quite soft and with no obvious tannins, this easygoing wine finishes sweet and lightly spicy. I’d serve this with grilled, strongly seasoned red meat.

Earthy, dusky blackberry and anise flavors have distinction and persistence, filling out nicely on the plump finish, framed with a layer of chunky tannins. Grenache, Mataro (Mourvèdre) and Shiraz. Drink now through 2006.

Bright red-ruby. Fragrant, spicy aromas of blueberry, raspberry and slightly stewed plum are vibrant, meaty and musky, showing undertones of animal hide and underbrush. Velvety-smooth and harmonious; a distinctively Australian expression of an easy-drinking Rhône red. Brambly black and red fruit flavors complicated by leather and charcuterie notes. Finishes fresh, fine and persistent.

The 2008 Cuvée Juveniles, a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Shiraz, and 20% Mataro raised in tank. Dark ruby-colored, it presents an alluring aromatic array of spice box, incense, and black cherry compote. Ripe, sweet, pure, and easy to understand, this forward, friendly effort can be enjoyed now and over the next 3 years.
