Wineexpress.com Under-The-Radar Winery of the Year! Decanter Magazine's South Australia Winemaker of the year moonlights at the Red Heads Studio in McLaren Vale. Red Heads started in 2003 when Australia's overproduction problem hit a peak. Savvy winemakers like Adam Hooper started grabbing lots of premium quality grapes that wineries were turning away and fermenting these great grapes in cheap rainwater tubs, in an old McLaren Vale bar called RedHeads. Tomahawk Cab is one of these small lot creations. Sourced entirely from the exclusive McLaren Vale region and aged in American oak barrels (50% new), for a supple ripe Cab that shows remarkable fruit dusted with eucalyptus spicy richness. Limited!
