Draped with dark cherry and black olive fruit, this wine’s gentle tannins fill a lean and spicy structure with full-on weight. Scents of cedar and peppercorn warm the finish. For braised boar.

A medium-bodied and aromatic red, showing floral and spice accents to the flavors of black cherry, fresh plum, red licorice and pomegranate, followed by a fresh finish. Drink now through 2017.

Winemaker's Notes:

On a slope particularly well suited for growing grapes, thanks to its optimal exposure to sunlight, we have created small terraces for our RAFAEL vineyard, by erecting the traditional “marogne” or low natural stone walls. This Tommasi family vineyard produces Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes of exceptional quality for the production of an opulent Valpolicella Classico Superiore. The vineyard is planted with the traditional “Pergola” and it is located in Pedemonte di Valpolicella.
