User Reviews for Tommasi Poggio Al Tufo Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine/Vinification: "Intense bouquet of dark fruit, spices and licorice. Well balanced with good structure, nice length, and fruity flavors. 10 days fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks; 12 months maturation in Slavonian oaks 65Hl." - Winery Producer: "Tommasi Viticoltori (Tommasi vintners) is a family viticultural company founded in 1902. It is situated in Pedemonte, in the heart of Valpolicella Classico region, a small piece of land in the North - West part of Verona, between the plains and Lessini mountains and near Garda lake." "From grandfather Giacomo's tiny vineyard, the Tommasi estate has grown steadily over the course of years and today owns vineyards and estates in three different Italian regions: Tommasi Viticoltori and Filodora Estate in Veneto; Poggio al Tufo in Maremma Tuscany; Masseria Surani in Manduria, Puglia. The estate is run by the 4th generation of the family, nine members working together in complete harmony, each with his well defined area of responsibility." - Winery Vineyard: "Rompicollo vineyard, South exposure, volcanic soil very rich of "tufo" (tough). High density 6,500 vines/hectare." - Winery
