Tolosa Winery Pinot Noir Central Coast 2007

Member Review by jjknight38:

Too mild for a sirloin steak, but should go nicely with a pork loin or a mild dinner without a lot of pepper. Drink now and don't feel bad about it. Don't bother storing it for the future.

Pleasure was always the goal as we crafted the 2005 Central Coast Pinot Noir. A pure, feminine expression of the Pinot Noir grape, it shows an intense floral perfume, bright red-berry fruit, and spicy accents of citrus peel & cardamom pod. We

Wine Enthusiast ReviewShows the delicacy and finesse of the finest Pinot Noirs of this vintage, and is a solid expression of this always fine bottling, although lacking a shade of the opulence of the '04. With cola, cherry, licorice, pine, cinnamon and vanilla oak flavors, it's a complex, satisfying wine that will marry well with steak and grilled salmon.Wine Tasting NotesAromatically complex and layered with concentrated cherry and orange peel essence, with notes of sandalwood and white clover. The flavors and textures are classic, with a well structured entrance, expressive fruit mid-palate and a prolonged finish.

Dark ruby color, with interlaced aromas of strawberry jam and dry cherry, cinnamon, coffee, and nougat. Sweet and ripe on the palate, with balanced tannins. Spice and earth flavors complement the smoky oak notes. This year's "1772"
