Intense with plenty of cat pee, pineapple and a hint of jalapeño on the nose. Nice and bright. Fluid in the mouth if a touch dilute with classic gooseberry and cat pee flavors. Could use more stuffing but in the classic aromatic style. 86pts

Excellent wine, especially at the price. At store tasting I noted pineapple and spice. Drinking this bottle over two nights we found it to be pleasantly crisp, grassy notes with lots of grapefruit and spice. My wife liked it less the second night (actually two days after opening, vacu-vinned in the fridge), as it seemed to turn towards acidity we usually find unpleasant in cheaper SBs.

Brilliant pale green our Tohu Sauvignon Blanc has an intense mineral nose showcasing classic Awatere Valley characters of tomato stalk, gooseberries and lemongrass. On the palate our Sauvignon shows more herbaceous green pepper and fleshy guava notes with a steely minerality providing focus. Racy acidity provides a long and very crisp finish with a touch of fruit sweetness for balance.
