Toasted Head Late Harvest Viognier
Hand picked in the coolness of the night and then dried on raisin mats for 4 days to concentrate flavors, the apricot and peach flavors that our Viognier vineyards produce are deeply enhanced in Toasted Head Late Harvest Viognier. Flavor notes of ripe pineapple and papaya are also to be savored. French oak aging adds a creamy texture and flavors of hazelnut and crme brulee. For a taste treat pair this wine with bread pudding with dried fruit and caramel sauce or a fresh fruit tart with almond cream shortbread.
R.H. Phillips Winery, nestled in the Dunnigan Hills northwest of of Sacremento, was founded in 1983 by brothers Karl and John Giguiere along with John’s wife Lane. Twenty-eight years later the Giguiere’s continue to produce quality wine with the help of winemakers Blake Kuhn and Owen Smith. Known for their Toasted Head brand wines, the winery sits on 1,700 acres and is a favorite site for weddings and other special events.
