Refreshing flavor, sweet, light and a perfect summer addition to your collection.
This fairly sweet offering imported by Toad Hollow is almost like a dessert sparkling wine. Some fruit on the palate, maybe apples. This wine uses a production method different than the traditional Champagne method, yielding a wine with a surprisingly low 6% alcohol by volume. The sweetness in this wine is pleasant, it does not become syrupy or cloying. Medium mousse.

It involves bottling young wines before all the residual sugar has been fermented into alcohol. Fermentation continues in the bottle and gives off carbon dioxide. The wine is designed to be sweeter and less fizzy than a champagne method sparkling wine and no dosage is allowed.
