Food Pairings for Toad Hollow White Blend Limoux Risqué
Refreshing flavor, sweet, light and a perfect summer addition to your collection.
This fairly sweet offering imported by Toad Hollow is almost like a dessert sparkling wine. Some fruit on the palate, maybe apples. This wine uses a production method different than the traditional Champagne method, yielding a wine with a surprisingly low 6% alcohol by volume. The sweetness in this wine is pleasant, it does not become syrupy or cloying. Medium mousse.
A light, delicate sparkler that is sweet and meant to go with dessert. This is a cake wine, with only 6% alc/vol and a nice balance of acidity to counteract the sweetness. Light lemon aromas and flavors, with lots of honeysuckle impression. Great QPR.
It was a hot day and I was in the mood for something refreshing! Risque was perfect!! Bravo!
Extremely refreshing! Very fun and neat bottle.
Refreshingly crisp for a sparkling wine. Sweet but not excessive. Perfect to enjoy on a warm day out on the patio
I love it!

Wine Tasting NotesThis "vin vivant" (lively wine) is a crisp and fruity sparkling wine with low alcohol (6%) and the taste of fresh green apples and pears. Softly effervescent with just enough sweetness to seduce your palate as an aperitif or tempt you when you want something perfectly naughty to finish ... or, perhaps ... to start again!Methode AncestraleThis method is rarely used and results in a lightly sparkling, medium sweet wine. It involves bottling young wines before all the residual sugar has been fermented into alcohol. Fermentation continues in the bottle and gives off carbon dioxide. The wine is designed to be sweeter and less fizzy than a champagne method sparkling wine and no dosage is allowed.
