Toad Hollow Pinot Noir Sonoma County Rosé 2009
Wine Tasting Notes The wine has incredible body and weight for a Rose of Pinot Noir. The color is a beautiful pink with a hint of "Beaujolais blue". This wine has a nose of rose petals and violets. Whether in sun or shade, this is a truly dry, uncomplicated statement of Pinot Noir at its lightest and most delicate which we proudly call our ROSE. Spice and pepper bring out the wonderful wild strawberry flavors. A wine that is great with sushi and wasabi or spicy Thai food.

Every year this wine seems to end up in many "best buy" lists, and no wonder why; it's easy to like. This one is pleasantly dry and crisp, with lots of typical Pinot cherry and berry notes and a hint of spice. Don't be shy of rosés. They're great with lighter summer fare like chicken salads and can be a hit at barbecues. When the weather is hot and humid, an ice cold rosé hits the spot! I always try to find a place for a wine like this at the Thanksgiving table as well.
One of the more successful Pinot Noir roses, this one is dry, as the label promises, and crisp in acidity. That makes the strong raspberry and vanilla cola flavors feel clean and bright.
