Smooth with a slight bite. Not very fragrant, but a hint of cherry.
Rating 92. full bodied very dry wine with under laying fine tannins with complex taste. Nose shows complex berry aromas and hint of oak. Very drinkable and interesting highly recommended. had it now the second time in 2012 still great. This wine was on sale back than at $10.80. Can't find it anywhere anymore.
New world red blend made in an old world style. Rich red fruits are underneath and provide the core for this wine that is accented with some green herbal and pepper notes. Contains Cab,Petit Syrah, Syrah, and Cab Franc. Limited production. Very drinkable. Will appeal to those who like a more restrained and less extracted cab, but find Bordeaux TOO green. Nicely balanced, nice finish. Excellent value.

Rating: 85/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the August 2010 issue. Straightforward black cherry fruit is overlain in the nose by a light veneer of cedary spice, and the wine picks up on the themes of cherries again in its accessible flavors. Far more concerned with fruity appeal than with depth and potency, the wine keeps its tannins in check and will make pleasant drinking in the mid-term.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.

Wine Tasting NotesConcinnity: A perfect blenda beautiful marriage. What better way to describe this wonderful blend of grapes from the finest vineyards in Napa, Paso Robles and Lake County. This is the marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A meritage of great varietals to compliment the grand center of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape.
