Tintara Grenache Mclaren Vale 2005

Member Review by VegasOenophile:

Garnet in the glass. Dirty nose of barnyard, dried leaves, earth, truffle and some cola. Dried herbs. Has a coppery edge. Flavors of sassafrass cola, roasty earth, dried herbs and leaves and red berry fruit. Most of the fruit leans to the secondary, dried side, but some fresh fruit influence remains. Nice structure remains with good acid/tannin balance still. Cocoa infused finish. Still nice, but drink now. 88 pts. 11/14/12
