red fruit nose...big lingering finish
This wine had many great qualities. From the BIG fruit tastes... to the awesome touches of chocolate and coffee... to the loooong hearty finish. Tip to tail this wine is worth every penny. Great attempt! Will be buying more very soon!
Three and a half glasses
Nice easy-drinking blend. Good acidity, not too tannic. Plenty of dark fruit but not at all sweet - there's a vegetal/herbal edge too. Good value.
I rate this wine 2008 wine with 88 points. Unusual nose very long but nice balanced. Wine is dry fruity with good tannin structure, berries throughout. What a bargain only $ 6.99 at Costco. Some people will not like this wine because of it's unusual taste but the wine lover who looks for something different will have a blast
External Reviews for Tilia Malbec-Syrah
The Tilia Malbec-Syrah shows a bright purple color with violet highlights. The nose is full of rich black fruit aromas with light earth notes and a touch of roasted coffee. The palate displays concentrated cassis and black raspberry fruit flavors interwoven with a touch of chocolate and sweet spice finishing with ripe, silky tannins.
The 2010 Malbec (60%) ndash; Syrah (40%) displays darker fruit than the 100% Malbec cuvee along with ample, plush, savory fruit. Like the other wines in this collection, it will provide pleasure over the next 2ndash;3 years.
Toasty, with ample notes of smoke and spice accenting the dark plum and cherry notes, which hold out through the smoky finish. Drink now.
