Bierzo is a Denomination of Origin (DOC) area located in the North-West of Spain and is known as the gateway to Galicia. Mencia is the main red variety here and is said to be similar to Cabernet Franc in style and produces top quality wine. Roble wines are like Semi-Crianza' wines, they have been aged in oak but for a short period such as 3 months. Vintage: 2006 Grapes: Mencia Taste: Cherry aroma with toast, balsamic and vegetal notes on the palate. Velvety with sweet tannins on the finish. Serve: With meat dishes such as roast lamb with rosemary ABV: 14%
