Add your reviewDe wijn is gemaakt van 80% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon en het restant bestaat uit Cabernet Franc. Kortom veel Italiaans bloed met enige Franse inmenging. De wijn wordt voor 12 maanden opgevoed in eikenhouten vaten en rust daarna nog voor 12 maanden op de fles. Tignanello was overigens ook de eerste Chianti die een opvoeding op eikenhouten vaten kreeg. Maar wat maakt deze wijn nou zo bijzonder? Allereerst de kleur, deze is intens donkerrood. De kleur is overigens ook een goede indicatie voor de geur, deze is ook vol van intens rijp donker fruit. Onder de vele tonen die omhoog komen herkennen we braam, peper, koffie, cacao, vanille en gebrand suiker. Verder heeft de geur een wat aards karakter. In de mond gaat dit feest nog even door. De smaak is mondvullend en is op zijn zachtst gezegd intens. Ook het zuur in de wijn verdient aandacht. Deze is behoorlijk, maar erg prettig bij een heftige wijn als deze. De taninne’s zijn uiteraard nog aan de harde kant, maar dat is te verwachten van zo’n jonge wijn. De afdronk is lang en indrukwekkend waarbij tonen van koffie en cacao elkaar afwisselen. 93/100 Supersnobs.nl

Displays sweet plum and berry aromas and flavors, with hints of toasty oak and cappuccino. Full-bodied, yet reserved and fine. Turns chewy and juicy. Best after 2012.
Antinori’s 2007 Tignanello is wonderfully ripe and seductive in its dark cherries, flowers, spices, tobacco, sage, cedar, mint and minerals. This is as opulent a Tignanello as I have ever tasted but there is just enough acidity and structure from the Sangiovese to keep things from going over the top. The wine’s richness and warmth are such that in a blind tasting I mistook the 2007 Tignanello for a wine from Maremma! The dense, muscular fruit follows through to an impeccable finish with no hard edges and impossibly fine, silky tannins. Simply put, the 2007 is a magnificent Tignanello. The 2007 Tignanello is 80% Sangiovese aged in 300-liter French oak barrels (1/3 new), 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, both aged in 100% new 225-liter French oak barriques. Anticipated maturity: 2012–2027.

You can’t help but love this wine. The richness, density and intensity are all outstanding and Tignanello is extraordinary in terms of aromas and flavors. The traditional formula for this groundbreaking super Tuscan was Sangiovese with a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage sees 5% Cabernet Franc for additional texture and longevity.

Der Tignanello präsentiert sich auf dem Markt in einem kräftigen Rubinrot. Duftige Noten reifer roter Frucht und Gewürze entfalten sich gut ausgewogen an der Nase. Am Gaumen ist er reich, voll und rund, auf angenehme Weise dicht verhüllt er nicht seine unnachahmliche, ihm eigene Eleganz und seine Komplexität. Es ist ein kräftiger aber feiner und sehr angenehm zu trinkender Wein, mit einem guten Abgang und einem dichten Finale von Schokolade und Zitrusfrüchten. Das samtig süßliche Tannin ist ausgeprägt, zusammen mit einem gut ausgewogenen Säuregehalt garantiert es dem Tignanello eine lange Lagerzeit.
