Winemaker's Notes:

Description: Light yellow to sandy-coloured in appearance, with an unobtrusive bouquet, and hints of pear and candied fruit. The strong harmonious structure emphasizes its dry full-bodied taste and round finish. Food pairing: lightly appetizers, fish dishes and South Tyrolean specialities

Entiklar is situated in the southern part of South Tyrol (Unterland), where the wine road winds gently through the most attractive vineyards in the region. In this small hamlet, belonging to the village of Kurtatsch, blessed with a centuries-old tradition of winegrowing, there is a castle dating from the 12th century. This, together with the family name to the wine estate, Tiefenbrunner Castel Turmhof. The loamy, chalky soils and the Mediterranean climate – characterised by a moderate rainfall and a cool evening wind, which produces considerable differences between day and night temperatures – result in the perfect ripening of the cellars where they lend the wine its unmistakable character. A peculiarity of the Tiefenbrunner Castel Turmhof wine estate is the Müller Thurgau “Feldmarschall von Fenner”, cultivated at 1.000 meters above sea level. Viticulture at this altitude is unique Europe. Read less

Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGTTiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio is 100% Pinot Grigio from the appellation of Vigneti delle Dolomiti IGT in the Trentino Alto Adige region of northeastern Italy. This wine radiates youthfulness and purity of fruit, achieved through stainless steel fermentation and the use of a cork-free closure. The estate was founded in 1848 and is owned by Herbert, Hilde, & Christof Tiefenbrunner and has 100 acres under vine. Wine Spectator 88 points!Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio is straw yellow in color with lemon highlights. Its style is youthful and lively. On the nose, this wine has aromas of citrus, white flowers, pears, apples, and meadow grass. Up-front citrus flavors give way to stony minerality and a crisp finish.Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio is wonderful as an aperitif and will pair well with butter-poached sole, scampi, and pasta primavera.
