Thumbprint Cellars Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley 2006
This wine has a great deal of blackberry in both the nose and mouth, however the alcohol is a bit high and tends to overpower much of the great fruit that is there. The mouth is very rich and has a wonderful finish.Add winemaker's notes
Hand-crafted, small lot, micro-wines are created using the highest quality grapes from Sonoma County’s best appellations; Alexander Valley for cabernet sauvignon and syrah Dry Creek Valley for cabernet franc, merlot and zinfandel-as well as Russian River Valley for pinot noir and chardonnay.

Easily one of the best Dry Creek Valley Zinfandels I've ever had! Amazing dark fruit up front followed by an everlasting finish of vanilla, clove, baking spice... Pair with chocolate, bbq ribs, or, better yet, by itself. I can only find it by the glass at Willi's wine bar in Santa Rosa so if you get a chance to taste/buy, do it!!
Floral with fruit and tar notes. Big & spicy. Very clean. Black pepper, raisin and spice finish. Great complexity for the pirce.
