Thumbprint Cellars Grenache Ramazzotti Vineyard Dry Creek Valley 2008
Once one of the most widely planted grape varietals in California, Grenache Noir has become somewhat rare here now. Small blocks in older vineyards still yield gorgeous character. Raspberry creamcicle, baking spice, plump plum and chewy caramel aromas and flavors provide a delightful introduction to this stand alone varietal. Sweet berry fruit textures develop into a silky soft finish. Pairs well with a grand family feast or an intimate dinner for two.
Hand-crafted, small lot, micro-wines are created using the highest quality grapes from Sonoma County’s best appellations; Alexander Valley for cabernet sauvignon and syrah Dry Creek Valley for cabernet franc, merlot and zinfandel-as well as Russian River Valley for pinot noir and chardonnay.
