Thumbprint Cellars Chardonnay 2007

Hand-crafted, small lot, micro-wines are created using the highest quality grapes from Sonoma County’s best appellations; Alexander Valley for cabernet sauvignon and syrah Dry Creek Valley for cabernet franc, merlot and zinfandel-as well as Russian River Valley for pinot noir and chardonnay.
Editorial Reviews for Thumbprint Cellars Chardonnay
A really nice Granny Smith note greets the nose followed by hints of honey, brewer’s yeast, honeysuckle and apple blossoms. This surprises with its super vibrant mouthfeel. It’s got nice honey toned fruit draped over a spine of vibrant acidity, a surprising package and one that gives this a special appeal. The fruit on the backend turns citrussy with a marmalade edge that is long and never gets heavy or cloying, finishing with a lovely pop of fresh citrus fruit on the finale. 90pts

Add your reviewMellow nose of melons and a little grass. Nicely moderate acidity with a complex dry sweet flavor. The finish gets slightly bready and complex. Really nice stuff.
Very pretty, loaded with lime and green apple, the oak is there, but it knocks politely before letting itself in. Nicely balanced acidity.
This is a gorgeous chardonnay true to the varietal - no oak means crisp apple and citrus flavors and aromas. We bought a chilled bottle from the tasting room and enjoyed it with our dinner at the Dry Creek Kitchen just around the corner in downtown Healdsburg. Even though we paid full retail, $26, it was such a great food wine for a warm evening that it was well worth it!

Just awared the prestigious 'Best of Class' Medal at the Sonoma Harvest Fair, this is a very limited production Chardonnay from a single vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Well known for producing deeply flavored, well-developed fruit, the Westside vineyard has provided grapes to the likes of Gray Farrell among other top RRV producers. Vinified in stainless steel at controlled temperatures the wine was given careful aging for added depth but left un-oaked so as not to mask the rich flavors of pear, pineapple and mandarin orange.
