What to Expect

Pinot Grigio is one of the world's most popular wines. Also known under the French moniker "Pinot Gris", and even the German "Ruländer" among others, Pinot Grigio is a chameleon of a grape. It is produced in a range of styles, from the light fruity Italian style that has gained popularity, to a more mineral, flinty rich wine favored by the French - particularly in Alsace - and emulated by many in the new world.

Winemakers Notes

Bandit Pinot Grigio is made from premium wine from some of California’s best growing regions. Thief/winemaker Joel Gott and his band of trusty cellarmasters select and blend the lots for authentic varietal character, taste, and value. All this fermented grape goodness comes in practical 250ml cartons, perfect for solo sipping.

Winemaking

The wine was cold-fermented at 50F in stainless steel to retain the fresh, fruity aromas of fermentation. The wine was not permitted to undergo a secondary malolactic fermentation to ensure crisp acidity.

Reviews

Ok, so this wine is not great. On the positive side, it does come in a juice box - just like you got when you were in 2nd grade. There are about two glasses per juice box, which actually makes it pretty good if you just want a sip of wine without having to open a full bottle. I wouldn't recommend serving this to guests, but it is really pretty perfect for that random week night that you just want a glass with your meal. I'll probably keep a few in my fridge just for that purpose. Would probably also be good to bring to the park on a hot day.

Very pale color, slight sweet apple nose. Light body read more...
