Three Saints Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Ynez Valley 2008
Our Cabernet begins with beautiful scents of chaparral, sage and blackberry that evoke a feel of rustic elegance. Your palette is then greeted with tones of rich earth, black pepper and flavors of ripe plum. The tannins create a supple yet full-bodied finish with lingering notes of chocolate and espresso.
Three Saints wines are a vivid expression of carefully selected grapes from the Dierberg Family's vineyards which are located in three of Santa Barbara County's premium wine growing regions: Santa Maria Valley, Santa Rita Hills and Santa Ynez Valley. Three Saints wines are produced at our estate winery in Santa Ynez Valley.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
Deep ruby color. Wonderful, almost Bordeaux-like aromas with blackcurrant, raspberry, bell pepper, violet, and hints of tobacco and chocolate. Medium to high acidity, medium to full body and intensity, and medium, rounded tannins. Blackcurrant, black pepper, plum, and chocolate on the palate. Well balanced and a good value at this price point.
Nice ripe plum on entry followed by alot of oak and chocolate. Too much chocolate on the finish for my tastes but over all a cabernet thats worth the money.
