It smells like black cherries and tastes as rich as prime beef. This Columbia Valley Cabernet is a beautiful representation of the polished, PowerHouse that winemaker Holly Turner has made her trademark. This is a substantial effort that will need to be decanted if you are going to drink it anytime soon. Black cherry, cassis and blue plum are swathed in milk chocolate, but this is Cabernet with its sinews intact, showing streaks of herb, smoke and light pepper. We can't imagine a better companion to it than a perfectly prepared prime steak.
