Nutty aromas of peppered bacon and blackberry. Flavors are light, and sit by the front of the mouth. Gentle tannins and red fruit are soft on this cab, but there's still a bit of spice on the attack.

From the Beverage Testing Institute World Wine Championships: 91 Points. Gold Medal. Inky garnet violet color. Bright aromas of cassis, fresh eucalyptus leaf, roasted nuts, and cedar follow through on a supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with tart berry, chocolate, and cherry skin notes. Finishes with a crisp, tangy, powdery tannin fade. Nice and smooth; pair with Mediterranean veal dishes (Tasted on Jun-29-2009).

Winemaker's Notes:

The nose reveals an abundant mix fresh fruit including plum, red and black currants and spice, rounded out with well integrated French oak. The mouth is rich and well bodied with vanilla, dark currants, mixed berries and rich ripe tannins.

Tasting Notes:

Rich malt chocolate cherry, meringue, white pepper, and creme brulee aromas and flavors with a satiny, fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a long, zesty, smoked nut, baked apple, and earth accented finish. A delicious mouthwatering cab for all occasions.
