Baked apple and cranberry aroma, with a nice oak touch. The mouth is rich and tannic, noticeably acidic, with herbal and blueberry notes.
Jammy dusty nose. Lean but full-bodied, with light oak dark cherries and some tea on the finish.
Nutty aromas of peppered bacon and blackberry. Flavors are light, and sit by the front of the mouth. Gentle tannins and red fruit are soft on this cab, but there's still a bit of spice on the attack.
From the Beverage Testing Institute World Wine Championships: 91 Points. Gold Medal. Inky garnet violet color. Bright aromas of cassis, fresh eucalyptus leaf, roasted nuts, and cedar follow through on a supple entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with tart berry, chocolate, and cherry skin notes. Finishes with a crisp, tangy, powdery tannin fade. Nice and smooth; pair with Mediterranean veal dishes (Tasted on Jun-29-2009).
