"I can clarify a little about the provenance of Thin Air Pinot. It is the first vintage of wine made from Pinot Noir vines planted in the Maldonado Los Olivos vineyard near the county line in Jamiesion Canyon, at the very east end of vineyards that produce the Los Olivos Chardonnay. The Maldonados had never expected to make a wine that they could release under the their label in the first year, but they wanted to make the best wine that they could.
