This also displays hints of grapefruit and lemon rind along with the typical acacia blossom and pear aromas. There is a coolness to the attractively well-detailed and energetic flavors that display an underlying mineral streak on the lemony dry and moderately austere finish. In 2011 this is more Puligny than Meursault. 2017+ Burghound.

Slightly reduced aromas of lemon drop and petrol. Ripe and pliant on the palate with lemon grapefruit and mineral flavors showing enticing early sweetness for a wine from this vineyard. Firm minerality gives the finish an elegant touch. Less austere than usual for young Blagny but give this 30 to 60 minutes in a carafe if you plan on trying it anytime soon. Made without any new oak. 91+ Stephen Tanzers IWC.

Organic. Quite marked reduction: a bit rubbery on the nose. More struck-match on the palate. Hard to read though it clearly has very fresh acidity as do all these Matrot whites. I ll give it the benefit of the doubt as there s definitely some concentration here. (JH) Jancis Robinson.

Pale bright yellow. High-pitched aromas of white peach lemon spices and minerals. Juicy lively and pure with enticing stony lift to the stone fruit and citrus flavors. Very Meursault: not high in acidity but lifted by its calcaire element. Not a fat style but nicely balanced and flatteur. Matrot recommends pairing this spicy wine with ginger shrimp. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
