External Review by Great Wines Direct:

Named ‘Winery of the Year’ in James Halliday’s 2011 Wine Companion, Larry Cherubino wants his wines to be distinctive and to speak clearly of their variety and vineyard site. He believes in spending time in the vineyard, in paying attention to canopy and water management, and most importantly, picking at the right time with minimal interference in the winery. From delicate whites to big reds his wines have class and finesse. Grapes : Mourvedre 47%, Grenache 47%, Shiraz 6% Region : Australia / Western Australia Maker : Larry Cherubino Notes : Earthy and savoury on the nose with tobacco notes. There is primary plummy fruit characters and very minimal oak influence. The palate is full of brambly spices, pepper and juicy fruit. The wine is medium weight and has a long clean finish. Firm from the Mourvedre, juicy from the Grenache and spicy from the Shiraz, this wine is designed for drinking now or over the next few years. ABV : 14.50%
