The Magnificent Wine Company the Original Mountain Merlot 2010

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Creamy and lightly spiced on the nose with elements of cedar, vanilla and baking spices accenting the lightly candied and slightly peppery Twizzlers red fruit on the nose. This is nicely fresh and lighter-bodied in the mouth with good transparency and taut red cherry fruit. The tannins are a little firm but not particularly intrusive, allowing the red fruit to maintain a candied sweetness. The finish is a bit short but very clean and fresh, with attractive toasted spice flavors on the finale. 87pts
