The Little Penguin Chardonnay 2013
"Like a South Australian sunrise, this tasty white has starlight brightness with light straw hues. The nose is refreshingly tropical with hints of melon and Hawaiian pineapple leading into zippy fresh Chardonnay fruit. With lovely balance and incomparable elegance, this Australian Chardonnay wine pairs exquisitely with seafood, poultry and soft cheeses." -Winery
The little penguin wines are appropriate for any occasion. From a party with the whole colony to a quiet night in the burrow, the little penguin enjoys nothing more than socializing and foraging for delicacies.
A friend who stayed with me over the summer gave this to me as a thank you gift. It is very easy to enjoy, slightly sweet with a strong tropical fruit taste and light vanilla. There is certainly some spice in it. For an inexpensive wine, it was good. I bought another bottle since I go camping and a light chardonnay is always lovely in the middle of nowhere.
Three and a half glasses
Surprisingly good. Really enjoyed! I did not buy this, a friend did, though I really liked it. I didn't expect to, but I did. try this if you are looking for something new.
A some-what buttery chardonnay with an unexpected sweetness and hints of tropical fruits, especially pineapple. May be better than these initial thoughts, just not what I think a Chardonnay should taste like.
This wine had some tropical fruit character and some pineapple just as the winemaker's notes described it. Light-medium body. The problem for me in this wine was the cotton candy-like sweetness.
Clear, straw color, pleasant bouquet of tropical fruits, fresh fruit, easy drinking style. Comes across as off-dry. High acidity, medium body. Fair value for $6.99. Would recommend for a party. Passable, okay for a pinch, won't knock your socks off. Okay for ordinary , not offensive but moving on.

Bright and generous. A lively mouthful of pineapple, grapefruit and hints of spice, lingering nicely. Drink now.
Soft and spicy, with a toasty edge to the modest apricot flavors. Drink now.
The first edition of Southcorp's new Chard is a nice, easily likeable wine. Aromas are light, like talc powder or baking flour, mixed with a few golden raisins. The feel is soft and fresh, wtih soft peach and apple flavors and a juicy finish.
Blooms with vibrant peach and nectarine notes on the nose, which persist in the mouth. The palate also has a slightly honeyed or gingery character. Soft and slightly sweet, and just the thing for your next big gig.
