The Italian Job White 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

Vermentino is a Mediterranean white grape variety with its origins being from the island of Sardinia. In its traditional home, it makes fine and spicy dry white wine suitable for early drinking but can also be cellared in the short term to reveal a more toasty expression. The palate is fine, crisp and has a mouth watering expression that would be the perfect partner to Mediterranean style anti-pasto foods.

Our entries into the Perth Royal Wine Show brought us the 'Most Successful Exhibitor - under 300 tonne' trophy for both 2005 and 2007. We are also home to 'The Young Winemaker of the Year 2009 for Australia and New Zealand' - Ryan Aggiss. Flying Fish Cove winery is situated 25km north of the Margaret river town site, along Caves Road in the renowed Wilyabrup area. Next door to the winery is 'Wildberry Estate', the Flying Fish Cove vineyard - consisting of 25 hectares of vines planted in 1997 by several of our shareholders. In 2000 a group of 20 grape growers in the region invested in the construction of the Flying Fish Cove winery, which carried out its first vintage in 2001. In 2009 it fully processed 23,000 cases.
