The Ironstone Pressings Grenache-Shiraz 1999 - d'Arenberg: The Ironstone Pressings Grenache-Shiraz 1999 - Rotwein von d'ArenbergEin großer Wein, der monumental und zugleich elegant ist. Im Glas leuchtet ein tiefes Pflaumenrot. In der Nase duften Aromen von Himbeer, Gewürzen, Schwarzkirschen, Zedernholz, Lakritz, Bitterschokolade, Tabak sowie vollreifen Brombeeren. Am Gaumen dominieren Aromen von reifen Pflaumen, Maulbeeren und frisch gemahlenem Pfeffer. Der Körper ist reich und gut strukturiert. Am Ende wird der Geschmack mehr und mehr von einem Kirscharoma bestimmt. Insgesamt ist der Wein sehr vollmundig mit einem intensivem Tannin im Finale. Der Wein verändert sich mit zunehmender Lagerung stetig.    Er passt ausgezeichnet zu Gulasch, Lammkeule, zum Schweinefilet aber auch Hühnersuppe, zu Couscous, gegrillten Lammkoteletts oder Rumpsteak.
