The Immortal Zin Old Vine 2011
Great wine for the price. Bought 3 bottles to taste with my neighbors for dinner last week and we all loved it. Very, very smooth and jammy. We let it breath for 30 minutes and it was perfect. Bought a casae this week for the holidays. Enjoy it!Add winemaker's notes
Nestled between the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Lodi has an ideal Mediterranean climate with deep, rich, sandy-loam soils and abundant quality water. Lance Randolph, fourth generation Peirano, winemaker, and grower uses the best of Giacomo Peirano’s, Lance’s great grandfather, farming methods and implements new techniques to create the best of “Old World Meets New World” viticulture practices.

The French oak really come through in this wine; not as fruity as one expects a Lodi Zin to be, the main show here is the spice. Spice, spice and more spice. Very interesting.
Nice Zin. Pretty fruity and spicy on the palate. 85 pts.

The color of this wine is truly Immortal. Its rich dork color goes on and on and on. The deceptively subtle aromas of this wine combine plums, black olives, raspberries, black tea and violets marrying together to out your olfactory senses into a new dimension. In the mouth, the palate is wrapped in a mysterious, velvety layered mix of black cherries, raspberries, and strawberries with just a twist or two of cracked pepper, leading to a lengthly rich mouth filling almost breathless finish. - Winery
