This is a very mellow, smooth drinking Pinot Noir with that familiar cranberry flavor that I'm finding in almost all '09 vintage Willamette Valley Pinots. It also displayes blackberries and earth. I love the super long finish and well balanced acidity.

Sourced from Black Family Estate Dundee Hills AVA and Doe Ridge Estate, Yamhill-Carlton AVA, Oregon.Earthy and elegant, fruit forward with smooth, expressive tannins, this wine bears all the hallmarks of a great New World Burgundy.Reminiscent of raspberries, strawberries, plums, and Rainier cherries, the 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is vibrant and delicious in its youth yet has the soft, focused tannins to suggest ageing with grace.Over 9 months in French oak has contributed a velvet softness to the mouthfeel without masking the lovely red to black fruit characteristics. The color is a deep garnet and the aromas are quintessential Oregon Pinot Noir.Sourced from the Salmon Safe (certified) and L.I.V.E.- farmed Black Family Estate Vineyard in Oregon's acclaimed Dundee Hills, this Pinot Noir benefits from vine age and sustainable farming. - WineryAlcohol: 14.4%Footnote: L.I.V.E. represents Low Input Viticulture and Enology
