The Colonial Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Barossa Valley Etranger 2006

Member Review by rhill2990:

I finally found a cabernet that I truly love. This is the nicest cabernet I have found in the last several years. It has a beautiful purple color, nice fruit on the nose, gentle tannins and a long beautiful finish. My only regret is that I did not buy more of this wine.

Very good wine. Smooth fruit. This wine sold me on Australian vineyards.

Deep, bright-rimmed ruby color. Very spicy aromas of pungent red and dark berries, dried violet, incense and botanical herbs. Round and sappy, with sweet cherry and blackcurrant flavors, juicy acidity and gentle tannic grip. This became more powerful with air, taking on subtle espresso and bitter chocolate character. Leaves ripe cherry and plum notes behind on the long, chewy finish. This needs time to unwind. ** Only 4 in Stock **
