A blend of 65% Shiraz and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2004 The Bull and the Bear possesses a dense ruby/purple color, tremendous flavor intensity, and abundant creme de cassis notes intermixed with notions of cedar, licorice, blackberries, and currants. The fabulous aromatics are followed by a wine with wonderful purity, richness, and a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol, and wood. Drink this beauty over the next 7-8 years. Lively, aromatic style has juicy cherry and pomegranate flavors at the core, persisting nicely on the finish, with licorice and toast notes. Best, though, is its transparency. A deeply dark Shiraz-based red, with a real sense of clarity. Drink now through 2014. 890 cases imported. -HS Dark violet color. Dark violet color. Spicy aromas of licorice, dark cherry and plum candy, with a pretty floral topnote. At once powerful and restrained, thanks to fresh, tangy acids; flavor dominated by dark fruits, especially blackcurrant. There's nothing fat about this bright, linear wine, which finishes with fine, dusty tannins. The balance of fruit, acids and tannins is impressive.

The Bull & The Bear Barossa Valley Shiraz / Cabernet 2003 - Two Hands Wines: Dieser rote Australier präsentiert sich im Glas tief dunkel schokoladenfarben. Weingut: Two Hands WinesRegion: Barossa ValleyRebsorte: 55% Shiraz, 45% Cabernet SauvignonInhalt: 0,75 lAlkoholgehalt: 14,75 Vol.%Säuregehalt: 7 g/lRestsüße: trockenLagerfähigkeit: 7 - 10 Jahre ab JahrgangFassreife: in Barriques gereift (16 Monate)Empfohlene Serviertemperatur: 16-18°C Rotwein > Australien > Barossa Valley

Aged in both French and American oak (only 20% new), the deep ruby/purple-tinged 2003 Shiraz (66%)/Cabernet Sauvignon (34%) The Bull and Bear reveals vanilla, spice box, black currant, and tobacco leaf characteristics along with medium to full body, a beautiful texture, and a pretty, elegant, French-like personality. This brilliant operation is a credit to the meticulous winemaking of Michael Twelftree and his staff.
