Testarossa Pinot Noir Central Coast Palazzio 2005
A phenomenal wine. This was the wine that did it for me; it plunged me off the deep end from a casual wine drinker to a wine lover. Flavors of strawberry, cherry, berry, and a hint of citrus with a very smooth, delicate finish.
2007/8/29 - Party in Tokyo. Great for casual gathering especially for summer night. Dry and clear. Not too crisp.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine ReviewRich enough and fruity enough to rate near the top, this wine from one of the top Pinot Noir vineyards in California does a good job in overcoming its vintage-induced tendency to latter-palate narrowness. That it never quite succeeds in full despite its obvious ripeness and its fullness at entry holds it back from higher award, yet there is much to like here and only small quibbles otherwise.Wine Tasting NotesBrilliant deep red color. This wine displays aromas of strawberry and cherry with a rich, jammy level of intensity. The aromas develop into more complexities of vanilla bean, cloves, and black pepper. The palate of the wine is highly structured with fine grape and oak tannin. Flavors of cherry and cloves carry through into the lengthy finish of this wine. While drinking young right now, this wine will continue to open and evolve with time. This wine will drink well for 7-8 years.
