Terry Hoage Vineyards Red Rhone Blend Paso Robles Cuvée the Pick 2007

Member Review by dynowine:

Overall a good vin d'effort (with some California terroir) and I look forward to enjoying more Paso Rhonobles as their terroir is unlocked. Wine has alluring nose of slightly sweet and creamy black currant and blackberry with hints of spice. Balance favors the fruit. In the mouth deep rich slightly sour fruit (dark berry, cherry, perhaps some plum) with a bit of chemical on the attack and non-trivial heat in the both the mouth and finish. Finish has nice sour lingering fruit.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
