Very unexpected. Delicious! Very light color, almost Pinot like. On the nose it is not very usual Beaujolais with candy aromas, there is more of raspberry, roses, violets. On the palate this wine is very young, it can age for a long time. Lean, fruity, very complex palate. Finishes with spice and cherries aromas. Very good cru Beaujolais!
2007...lovely by itself and with lite fare!!

Pale straw. Citrus, pear and white flowers on the nose, along with an exotic note of candied anise. Densely packed and lively, offering intense orchard fruit flavors underscored by chalky minerals. Closes tangy and persistent, leaving a floral note behind.
Brunandrsquo;s 2010 Beaujolais Chardonnay Classic once again offers sensational value and a distinctively delicious personality such as you wonandrsquo;t find in 98% or more of Chardonnay grown anywhere in the world. A bright yet luscious meld of melons, pineapple, lemon, and apple seems suffused with shrimp shell reduction and is laced with mouthwatering salinity that dares you to resist the next sip. The cut and invigoration will keep you on your toes yet remain allied to a subtle sense of creaminess; whilst a multiplicity of mineral shadings leaves you shaking your head as you repeatedly raise your wrist. Savor this beauty over the next 2andndash;3 years.
Bright ruby-red. Pungent red fruits and potpourri on the highly perfumed nose. Lithe and precise on the palate, offering pure strawberry and raspberry flavors complicated by notes of white pepper and candied violet. Closes with impressive energy, length and lingering florality.
Fruit, fat, and finesse, not to mention a solid mineral structure, have garnered rave reviews for this versatile white wine. For great value in a Chardonnay, it's tough to beat.
Like Brun’s other crus only three weeks in bottle when I tasted it, his 2010 Cote de Brouilly — around a third of which did time in his sole foudre and in older barriques — led with a provocatively pungent nose of smoky black tea, horseradish, quarry dust, and just-ripe blueberry and red raspberry. Bright and invigorating, it gushes with tart-edged fruit while delivering more than enough complexity to elicit head-scratching between sips. Sustained and saliva-inducing in its finishing flavors, it should remain a delight for at least the next several years. Brun seeks to assure me that a richer dimension will emerge once this has had a bit more time to rest post-bottling.
