Editorial Reviews for Terredora Dipaolo Falanghina
- honey, pine resin, dried pineapple, candied lime, dried grass - Assertive acids up front but with rich, layered pear and pithy citrus fruit tones that fill out the mid-palate. There is a nice richness to this yet the backend has classic blanched almond and mineral notes that cut right through the fat and lead to a long, zesty finish. Spaghetti in white clam sauce. 90pts

Light bay leaf and orange blossom nose. Very nice flavor of honey, conifer tree and peaches. The finish is of orange rind with a nice tangy quality. A well made wine, very nice.
Crisp and refreshing tartness with tropical fruits and grapefruit gives way to buttery undertones and very mild oak, the balance is very good and the wine is enjoyable.

There's a smoky, dusty element at first that quickly evolves into mature aromas of peach, melon and pear. The nose is slightly muddled at first but it shows well in the mouth thanks to its natural crispness and directness.
This wonderful wine has the distinction of being one of Wine Spectatorrsquo;s Top 100 wines of 2008! Such a delicate yet structured wine, it has characteristics of peach, pineapple, pear and light honey. It has an excellent balance of acidity and fruit and is unoaked. This is a full-bodied wine, with a long lasting, rich finish. Pair this wine with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, goat cheese brushetta or pan seared ahi tuna.
This winersquo;s flavor has the pink cast of peach skin with a sappy pine scent. Itrsquo;s light and a touch tannic. Chill it for popcorn shrimp by the pool.
Medium bright straw-gold. Expressive aromas of white peach, pear and green apple. Fresh and lively on the palate, with pear and peach skin flavors leading to a long, bright finish that shows an appealing, mouthwatering quality. A very good example of falanghina, not always a given from many other producers who churn out this very popular variety.
The 2009 Falanghina is a gorgeous white endowed with surprising richness in its almost tropical expression of fruit. Signature Falanghina aromatics emerge in the glass, adding further complexity to this generous and utterly engaging white. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2012.
The 2006 Falanghina is an ideal aperitif wine. It offers perfumed, fresh aromatics and a pretty core of sweet, lush fruit with an accessible, easygoing personality. Anticipated maturity: 2008.
Do you like the crisp, refreshing taste of Pinot Grigio, but are tired of the bland, nondescript, average Pinots that are all too common? Why not try a different Italian white such as this Falanghina? On first sip, the acidity bounces off the tongue, creating that light, crisp sensation common in most Italian whites. With further sips the depth, concentration, and purity of this wine become apparent. Persistent flavors of tropical fruits mdash; banana, kiwi, pineapple mdash; mingle beautifully with an intensity not often found at this price point. This is what your Pinot Grigio wants to be when it grows up.
