Terrazas de Los Andes Malbec Reserva 2006
raisin like, dark fruit coarse throughout, concentrated condensed qualities, unique and delicious
Wonderful wine. Generally I don't like Malbecs but this was nice. Dark red fruit, some oak and cinnamon on nose. Oak, mild tannin, spice and dark fruit taste. Layers and complex ... great value.
I enjoyed this. Smokey, Currants and a little spice in the finish. I bit too much alcohol taste in the initial glass but mellowed out as it aired. Rich dark color. Loved the color and a smooth medium to light tannin level.
Great wine, awesome value. Paid $9.99, Wonderful taste full of plums, stone fruits, extremely smooth great after taste. One of my new favorites, don't buy one bottle buy a case.
A big smooth mouthful of smokey cassis. Designed for grilled beef but lovely by itself.
Acidic, smooth, big berries.
Appearance: Clear, opaque purple, paler rims with legs Nose: Clean, showing developing and medium intensity aromas of rose, violet, herb, red fruit, raspberry and oak. Palate: Dry and medium plus acidity. Medium tannin which is ripe and fine-grained. Medium plus alcohol level and medium plus body, with medium plus intensity flavors of red berries, smoke, liquorice, raspberry, oak and violet. Ripe fruit and well-integrated tannin. Medium plus length . Conclusion: Very good quality, with a complex and intense aroma, flavors and also a good length. The wine is balanced and with a smooth finish. Though there is not much development for any tertiary flavors. This wine is ready to drink and can be maintained for another 1-2 years.

Lush and forward, with a well-rounded texture and sweet fig, raspberry and blackberry flavors. A floral hint chimes in on the finish. Drink now through 2009.

Quite juicy, with raspberry, cassis and briar notes riding over fresh acidity through a bouncy dark fruit- and spice-filled finish. Drink now through 2010.
Deep medium ruby. Dark cherry, licorice, menthol, nuts, chocolate and a whiff of raisin on the nose. Supple and fine-grained with a distinctly dry character to its very ripe, port-like flavors of dark berries, licorice and herbs. A rather uncompromising style of malbec with plenty of ripe acidity but in need of a bit more sweetness of fruit. Finishes with fine tannins and a sappy black cherry flavor.
