Terrazas de Los Andes Malbec 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Deep red with blue shades. Aromas of red, black and dried fruits, especially plums and figs combine to give the wine a great intensity. Further hints of vanilla and caramel can also be detected. The wine is rich and juicy with soft, well-ripened tannin. Notes of black fruit, jam and vanilla blend to give the wine a mouth-watering finish.

Compact and concentrated up front, the nose is propped up with hints of spice and berry. This shows good body and balance, with berry and licorice flavors that are lightly baked, mildly herbal and peppery. Despite a touch of green on the finish, this is very good.

Ripe, yet fresh, showing lively plum and wild berry notes that expand with hints of spice and salted licorice. Drink now.

Good dark red. Briary dark berries, smoke, dark chocolate and menthol on the nose. Smooth and sweet, with attractive inner-mouth aromatic character to the dark cherry and smoky oak flavors. Nicely concentrated, sweet and balanced for this price range. Finishes smoothly tannic, with spice and smoke notes.
