Terranoble Carmenere Ca1 Andes 2013
External Review:
The 2010 Carmenere Andes CA1 has a comparatively refined nose for a Carmenere — those chocolate scents tempered, replacing them with lifted black fruit, wild hedgerow and a touch of peppermint. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, plenty of crisp black fruit laced with white pepper, while the finish is surprisingly austere and just a little too dry for my liking. While I appreciate the style of this wine, it would be improved with more flesh and weight on the finish. Drink now–2016.
