Smells like an east-coast beach on the nose, with notes of cardamom and saffron. Licorice on the mouth, with a long herbal undercurrent. Very interesting.
Slightly dusty, cherries and blackberries. Quite dry and acidic, very earthy, black cherries and a nice dry earthy fruit on the finish. A little simple.
Earthy, fungal, slightly balsamic note on the nose. Big but dry sour cherries, fresh oak and a touch of vanilla on the finish - which, by the way, features huge grippy tannins.
medium ruby verging on brick. light to medium in body and tannin. a little soft for Tuscan wine for me. great complex aromatics - stale tea leaf, pencil lead, juicy black plum skin. medium finish. i went for thirds on this.
