90 pts. edit... 6/16/2012 rated 90 points: Dusty red and black cherry skins, with savory dried herbs on the nose. There's a soft texture at first on the palate, accompanied by extremely lean black cherry, minerals, and a very nice core of roasted, smoky, meat. The acidity is subtle, but sufficient and the very fine grained tannins coat the mouth through the aromatic finish. Solid components that seem likely to integrate into something even nicer down the road. (0 views)

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): The 2007 Chianti Classico Riserva Croce (Sangiovese) shows more freshness and focus than the Campaccio in this vintage. Deceptively medium in body, the Croce hovers on the palate with compelling red cherries, flowers, tobacco, mint and underbrush. The French oak contributes volume and warmth, but without overpowering the more subtle elements that make this such a delicious, expressive bottle. This is a fabulous effort from Terrabianca. I slightly preferred the Croce to the Campaccio. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024. (Oct 2010)
